This section of the website is dedicated to reviews of machetes and big choppers. Some of the knives listed below are technically not machetes, but they will clear and chop with the best of them, so for convenience I’ve decided to put them on this page. Basically, if it’s big and bad (and somewhat resembles a machete), I’ll put it here. At least until I get enough “true” machete reviews.
Sp what follows are all of my machete reviews, including reviews of some of the best machetes I have handled. I look forward doing more reviews on these kinds of knives in the future. I really enjoy testing and using larger fixed blade knives and I’ve had a number of people ask me to do more reviews on them.
If there is anything particular you would like to see me review in this class feel free to let me know by sending me an email or leaving a comment below.

On top of that their knives tend to be very affordable and very simply made. Their target audience is often the outdoorsman, the hunter, the prepper, and general adventurer. The Expat line is a specialty line of ...

- Ontario Machete ReviewOver the years I have had several requests for machete reviews. To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure why it has taken me so long to deliver. The machete is a timeless tool. Although it is most readily identified with jungle survival, its applications are far reaching and potentially adaptable to a wide variety of ...
- Ka-Bar Kukri Machete ReviewLast Updated: July 27, 2019 The Kukri is an ethnic design that has truly stood the test of time. Originally the kukri was meant to be a fighting knife. Members of the Nepalese military carried these blades, most notably their elite Gurkha regiments. These days you don’t need to be an elite warrior to wield one ...
